Complete Audiologic Evaluation
A Complete Audiologic Evaluation (CAE) is composed of an examination in a soundproof suite, an initial audiologic and otologic medical case history evaluation conducted by an audiologist, and finally a series of detailed examinations including:
- Otoscopy, a visual examination of the ears.
- Immittance testing, to assess the status of the middle ear.
- Audiometry testing, which measures pure tones and speech.
Hearing tests take approximately 30 minutes to complete. Please bring any previous audiograms, if they are available. Recommendations will be made based on all testing results.
