The Weill Cornell Medicine Department of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery provides comprehensive ear, nose and throat (ENT) clinical care, in addition to conducting cutting-edge research and educating the next generation of ENT specialists. Our outstanding otolaryngologists provide a full spectrum of modern care, from pediatrics to geriatrics, including the latest advances in technology and evidence-based practice.
We provide care at five outpatient practice sites in Manhattan and one in Westchester County, including our most recent expansion for the state-of-the-art Sean Parker Institute for the Voice. Our subspecialty programs, including cochlear implantation and implantable hearing devices, robotic surgery, allergy testing and treatment, salivary sialendoscopy and skull base surgery continue to grow. In addition, we were the first clinical practice in NYC to perform a hypoglossal nerve implantable stimulator procedure for obstructive sleep apnea.
Our department sponsors several highly rated and well attended Continuing Medical Education (CME) and Continuing Education Unit (CEU) programs. Every year we publish dozens of peer-reviewed articles and our faculty members are invited to speak at eminent otolaryngology meetings. We are also honored to have several faculty members who serve as leaders in national medical societies. Our department is also the administrative home of the Center for the Performing Artist, an official healthcare provider for the Metropolitan Opera, the Manhattan School of Music, Juilliard and Carnegie Hall.
Together with the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, we sponsor an outstanding otolaryngology residency training program. With rotations at Columbia, Weill Cornell Medical College, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Lincoln Hospital and the James J. Peters VA Medical Center, our residents receive comprehensive training and exposure to an enormous variety of patients and faculty.
We look forward to continuing our mission – providing the finest ENT clinical care available, contributing to state-of-the-art research initiatives, and strengthening future physicians with a peerless academic program.
Sincerely,
Michael G. Stewart M.D., M.P.H.
