"I was thrilled to match at NYP due to the excellent culture among residents and faculty alike at both campuses. People are very supportive in this residency and care about you as an individual, not just as a physician and surgeon in training. It is great to be able to both learn from and laugh with the faculty who train you.

Our residency program is also a group of tight-knit individuals who enjoy spending time together. We can go out on the town and enjoy everything that NYC has to offer, or just enjoy a night at home playing board games and cooking. We are supportive of one another's personal lives, and invite significant others to events as well as one another's weddings and important life events.

Training in NYC is also an unparalleled support system of its own. I was raised in a small suburban town and had never lived in a big city before NYC, but it is such a privilege when you're on-call to be able to order any kind of cuisine you want at any hour of the day or night."
